The Q6 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

In a Vehicle-to-Vehicle Frontal Crash Prevention 2.0 test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Audi Q6 e-tron achieved a “Good” rating - the highest possible - for its performance in forward collision warning and automatic braking systems, demonstrating its excellent capabilities in preventing collisions. The Jeep Wagoneer S has not been tested.

The Q6 e-tron has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The Q6 e-tron has Car-to-X Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the Q6 e-tron and Wagoneer S have rear cross-traffic warning, but the Q6 e-tron has Automatic Brake Activation (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Wagoneer S’ Rear Cross Path Detection doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Q6 e-tron and the Wagoneer S have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The Audi Q6 e-tron has achieved the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) highest rating of “Top Safety Pick Plus” for the 2026 model year. This distinction is based on its exceptional performance in IIHS’ rigorous battery of safety tests. Specifically, it earned a “Good” rating in the latest, more stringent moderate overlap front crash test, a “Good” result in the updated side impact test, a “Good” score in the revised pedestrian crash prevention test, and a “Good” score in the revised vehicle-to-vehicle crash prevention test. The Wagoneer S has not yet been evaluated by the IIHS for 2026.

The Q6 e-tron comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Wagoneer S’ 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The Q6 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the Wagoneer S’ (12 vs. 5 years).

Audi pays for scheduled maintenance on the Q6 e-tron for 3 years and 30,000 miles. Audi will pay for cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 1 visits). Jeep doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Wagoneer S.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Jeep With 2 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Audi higher than Jeep.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2026 Auto Issue reports that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Jeep vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Audi 11 places higher in reliability than Jeep.

The Q6 e-tron’s standard electric motors produces 107 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 524) than the Wagoneer S Limited 4dr Sport Utility’s standard electric motors. The Q6 e-tron’s electric motors produces 14 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 617) than the Wagoneer S’ optional electric motors. The SQ6 e-tron’s standard electric motors produces 14 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 617) than the Wagoneer S’ optional electric motors.

On the EPA test cycle the Q6 e-tron gets better mileage than the Wagoneer S:

The Q6 e-tron has a standard locking charge port which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Wagoneer S doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The Q6 e-tron’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction, the Q6 e-tron’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Wagoneer S (F:255/50R20 & R:285/45R20 vs. 235/50R20).

The Q6 e-tron SQ6’s optional 255/45R21 front and 285/40R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Wagoneer S’ 50 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q6 e-tron SQ6 offers optional 21-inch wheels. The Wagoneer S’ largest wheels are only 20-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Q6 e-tron can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Q6 e-tron offers an available driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Wagoneer S’ suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Q6 e-tron Prestige/SQ6 has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Q6 e-tron’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Q6 e-tron is 1.3 inches wider in the front and .3 inches wider in the rear than the track on the Wagoneer S.

The SQ6 e-tron Prestige handles at .91 G’s, while the Wagoneer S Limited 4dr Sport Utility pulls only .78 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The SQ6 e-tron Prestige executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.4 seconds quicker than the Wagoneer S Limited 4dr Sport Utility (24.7 seconds @ .8 average G’s vs. 27.1 seconds @ .72 average G’s).

The Audi Q6 e-tron may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 300 to 450 pounds less than the Jeep Wagoneer S.

The Q6 e-tron is 4.6 inches shorter than the Wagoneer S, making the Q6 e-tron easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Q6 e-tron has .5 inches more front headroom, 1.3 inches more front shoulder room and 1 inch more rear headroom than the Wagoneer S.

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Q6 e-tron. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the Q6 e-tron to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for vehicle inspections, vehicle inspection based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Jeep doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Wagoneer S.

If the windows are left open on the Q6 e-tron the driver can close all of them at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Wagoneer S can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q6 e-tron SQ6/Prestige has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Wagoneer S’ cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Q6 e-tron’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Q6 e-tron to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Wagoneer S doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Q6 e-tron Prestige’s Park Assist Pro can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Park Assist Pro will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Wagoneer S’ automatic parking system does not offer parking by remote control.
